Short Bio

Hello! I’m Weicong (English name: Ben), a posdoc research scholar in the PADSYS Lab at University of California, Merced. My postdoc advisor is Prof. Xiaoyi Lu. I earned my Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) under the supervision of a world-class biostatistician and research scholar, Prof. Curtis Tatsuoka. Before that, I got my M.S. in Computer and Information Science at CWRU and B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at University of Evansville.

Research Interests

My research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including high-performance computing, Big data, Bayesian methods, combinatorial optimizations, parallel and scalable scientific simulation, group testing methodologies, and rt-fMRI data analytics.
